SPOON Stiff Plate Front (FK8)

SPOON's fundamental approach to achieving a balanced total setup starts with creating an ideal body structure. The new Civic features a high-strength platform with an inner framework, ensuring ample body rigidity on its own. However, by further enhancing the connection strength between the body and subframe, it becomes possible to unlock even higher levels of driving performance.

The "Rigid Collar" is installed in the subframe bolt holes, and the body, subframe, and lower arm attachment points are integrated with rigid plates. This allows the car's inherent body rigidity to shine, resulting in the suspension working as intended and delivering stable and direct handling characteristics.

Despite increasing body rigidity, the ride comfort remains supple and, in fact, the suspension can fully utilize its intended motion, resulting in a smooth and high-quality ride.

The material used is the JSC780 ultra-high tensile material typically found in the body's structural components, formed using an 800-ton hydraulic press. Three plates are spot-welded and finished with the same cathodic coating as the factory parts.

Notes & Special Instructions:

Installation is bolt-on and does not require any modifications, and the factory underpanel can also be installed.
