HKS R Type Intercooler Kit (FK8)

This is a car-specific intercooler kit designed with an optimal core size and layout, specifically for the high-performance CIVIC TYPE-R (FK8) known for its impressive 2.0L engine producing 320ps and boost pressures exceeding 150kPa.

Concept:

The K20C engine, with its high output of 320ps and boost pressures, generates significant heat. The stock intercooler's capacity is insufficient, causing the intake air temperature to rise to nearly 90℃, even without increasing boost.

→ In response to this, the intercooler has been enlarged to ensure better cooling performance.

The stock intercooler's air path, including the piping, features tight bends that obstruct the smooth flow of intake air, resulting in significant boost loss.

→ To address this, the entrance-side tank and pipe of the intercooler have been integrated to achieve a smoother airflow, reducing intake losses.

Features:

The newly developed 100mm wide core boasts approximately twice the core capacity of the stock intercooler, delivering significantly improved cooling performance.

Minimal modifications are required to stock components, mainly the rubber parts and fan shroud that come into contact with the core. No major modifications are necessary.
