HKS Cold Air Intake Full Kit (FK8)

By using a high-quality, molded carbon fiber intake box, this system significantly contributes to improved intake efficiency and suppression of intake air temperature rise. It features HKS's traditional open-type air cleaner "Super Power Flow," making it the latest and most advanced intake system.

Development Concept:

The K20C engine, which produces 320ps in a 2.0L configuration, is highly powerful. To stabilize this output, it's important to prevent a simple open-type air cleaner from causing an increase in intake air temperature, which can lead to ignition timing retardation and a drop in output. Therefore, HKS developed this intake system with the aim of preventing temperature rise and reducing intake resistance.

Product Features:

The CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) air cleaner BOX is designed to convey a sense of sportiness and luxury with its 3k twill prepreg (dry carbon) and emblem with slide spin processing.

Changing the original flexible rubber hose to aluminum piping reduces intake resistance.

The racing suction and cold air intake BOX can be purchased separately. It can be used as a version upgrade item for vehicles with the racing suction installed.

Full-area calibration is carried out with the standard AFR (Air Fuel ratio Regulator). It corrects any deviations in the air flow output, ensuring a pleasant driving experience.

Flow Bench Testing:

The racing suction optimizes the piping to streamline airflow and reduce intake resistance. It uses the proven Super Power Flow air cleaner for improved response. It also features a sporty intake sound.

Temperature Comparison Inside the Power Flow:

The dry carbon-made cold air intake box is an upgrade part exclusively for the racing suction. It creates a space covered by a box with an air filter, allowing fresh air to be smoothly introduced into the intake system. This helps reduce the common issue of intake air temperature rise during idling or in traffic, even in city driving. The performance, along with the carbon pattern and emblem with special processing, adds a sense of luxury.

Output Comparison:

With the AFR-equipped kit, calibration is performed throughout the entire range. Correction is made to ensure the proper air flow output for stable performance. Advantages are primarily obtained in the mid-to-high rpm range compared to stock.

For kits without AFR, separate tuning with a fuel correction device or similar equipment is necessary.
